Edward Tokarek
Edward Tokarek is an accredited member of the Canadian Professional Appraisers Association. He draws upon a lifetime of experience when assessing your antiques and fine art. Edward first started working with antiques in 1972 at a local antique shop in the interior of British Columbia. After leaving BC, Edward furthered his college education in England where he then worked in the antique business for 10 years. Since returning to Canada, Edward has built up an impressive resume working as a consultant for a variety of auctions, museums, and galleries, which has earned him the trust and respect of Vancouver's art and antique communities. Some of the organizations he has provided consultancy work for include: West Coast Estate Auction, Seahawk Auctions (Native Indian art auction), and Shumas Auction (online Asian art auction), Mission Museum, Whiterock Museum, Penticton Art Gallery, Surrey Art Gallery, Gibsons Museum Society, Sechelt Museum, and Richmond Museum. Edward has also done numerous antique appraisal days for charitable foundations in the Vancouver area. He was also featured as an appraiser on the first Canadian Antiques Roadshow held in Vancouver, BC in 2005.
Since 1999, Edward has worked as a consultant for Maitreya Arts of Asia Gallery at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver BC, Canada.
