Types of Appraisals:

  • Single object or collections must be physically presented either in-store or though other arrangement. If a clear, accurate, detailed photograph is submitted by Email, the object may be assessed.

  • Estate appraisal requires inspection, sorting and listing of the contents of the estate and assessing their value.

  • Appraisals for insurance purposes.

  • Appraisals for probate.

  • Appraisals for fair market value.

  • A preliminary appraisal of individual object or collections provides you with a verbal estimated value of the item(s), and assesses whether an official appraisal is warranted. A preliminary appraisal is unofficial, and should not be used for legal purposes. A preliminary appraisal can be conducted based solely on photographs, and can be conducted online or in-person.

  • An official appraisal provides exhaustive research of domestic and international markets(if required) to determine the market value of your object(s). You will receive an official document citing the value of the object(s) and comparable items sold at auction and through retail and wholesale markets (to the extent that such information exists). Object(s) must be inspected in-person for an official appraisal, photographs alone are insufficient.
